IDEA-35803 Search and replace rejects '$' as pattern

The search and replace tool, in regular expression mode, rejects the valid pattern consisting of a single '$', which should match the empty string at the end of a line. Screen shot is attached.

Environment: Windows XP 6.0.2 Beta
