IDEA-29950 IDEA continues to use around 3% CPU even when minimized and in the background

Issue is visible to: All Users
  The issue is visible to the selected user group only
This becomes rather problematic when running on a laptop under battery power as the battery-life degrades from around 2+ hours to around 30-45mins.

I have it on good authority that Eclipse does NOT have this problem.

We're now at release-candidate 2 and I don't see this being fixed. Can I still assume it will be fixed?

I have the same problem. I am on a ThinkPad R40, Win XP SP2.
