6.0.1 produces lots of glitches
Same thing was with 6.0.0
Same thing on Linux
Can happen immediately or after some reasonable working time

Environment: Sun jdk 1.5.0_09, installed separately from Idea
WinXP Prof with all latest updates

Issue was resolved

This is either OS or JDK problem. Please verify that you're running the latest version of graphics drivers for your video card.

I am still having these errors.
These errors cannot be a result of hardware or driver malfunction b/c I have the same effect on two
different machines - workstation and laptop, laptop running Linux.
The only things that are the same between these machines are Idea 6.0.1 and JDK 1.5.0_09
I noticed really big error logs in Idea home directory.
Hopefully they could help you identify the problem.
I am attaching two files to this issue - logs from linux and win32.
